Important Info

Little Free Library

  • We now have a LITTLE FREE LIBRARY in Forest Edge!  It is located next to the mailbox cluster across from 451 Forest Edge.  It was donated by the Bager family in memory of their son, CPT Robert Bager.  The library is open to everyone.  The concept is “Take a book, Share a book.”  If you have a gently used book you have read and would like to share, put it in the library and perhaps you’ll see one you would like to read!  If you don’t have a book today, you can still take a book if you see one you’d like to read.  Please be sure to re-latch the door to keep the rain out and ENJOY!
  • We also have a 2nd Little Free Library located by the Greenwood Pool and Rec Building!

Monthly Assessment Payment Information:

The address to use assessments and other Forest Edge business will be: Forest Edge Cluster Association, Inc. PO Box 895, Getzville, New York 14068. Due to the high costs, we will no longer support ACH to pay your monthly assessments. If your bank supports sending a check directly, send it to the address listed above. Be sure to set up a note field with your unit number.

Donate your bottles to a good cause

  • Dave from 1304 Netherton collects bottles and turn them in —ALL funds are sent to Hospice
  • You can drop off bottle/cans at Dave’s house, 1304 Netherton.
  • You can put out your bottles in separate bags on Garbage day. Dave comes around before the garbage and recycling trucks come through the neighborhood.  Bottle returns for a good cause.   And as always, Thank You!

Board Objectives

The function and goal of our Forest Edge Cluster Association Board is and has always been “to maintain and administer the community property and facilities, maintain the exterior of dwelling units, to administer & enforce the covenants and restrictions and collect and disburse the assessments and charges.”

All previous Boards as well as our current Board members have taken this message to heart and have worked to try and maintain and improve the property values of our community.

Attention Residents:

  • Residents Please secure your recycling and trash on windy trash pick-up days….It helps keep our neighborhood clean!
  • Residents please note:  Please contact Erie County Water Authority for any water-related issues!

Attention Residents!

The Amendment vote has been tabulated and has now PASSED with a vote of 104-20. Please refer to the Documents page for the Amendment and filing information. Also, please add this amendment to your current copy of the by-laws.

This Amendment is regarding unit rental rules which will now be prohibited upon transfer of ownership. Units must be owner-occupied once the unit is sold and ownership is transferred. This does NOT apply to current owners of record who may continue or begin rental of their units.

This amendment was proposed by residents at our annual meeting.  Thank you to all for submitting your votes.

Town of Amherst Refuse collection

All Residents should have received a letter from the Property Management regarding the new Town of Amherst Refuse collection. All residents will receive a new garbage tote and a new recycling tote which MUST be used for trash to be picked up as explained in the accompanying Town of Amherst information. Trash collection with the Town begins on Thursday, March 3, 2022 and will continue every Thursday except stated holidays. A copy of the letter sent to residents can be referred to on the documents page.

Reminder: Please Pick Up After Your Pet

-It doesn’t take much to remember that we have pets in our community. In fact, if you don’t
watch your step, you’re liable to step in one such reminder!
-Besides being unsightly and smelly, animal waste can be hazardous to the health of our
children who play in the community and to other pets.
-When walking your dog in our community, remember that it should be leashed. Also, it is
important to remember to immediately clean up after your pet.

-If you See something, Say something….otherwise we will be forced to hire someone to clean up the animal waste before Lawn services can begin in the Spring and we will ALL pay! Thank you!!! For all of us.

FOREST EDGE WEST residents

Please remember to leave your exterior garage light fixture turned on. All the garage fixtures were fitted with dawn-to-dusk LED bulbs to give better lighting to the neighborhood at night at very minimal cost! If your bulb is defective, contact Cindy for a replacement. If the replacement does not work, your fixture may need to be replaced with a new one. Several residents have already done this.  Better lit neighborhoods are safer neighborhoods!

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

We are asking residents to please SLOW DOWN and observe STOP signs before someone is seriously injured! Since there are no sidewalks, many residents and children use the streets to walk, jog, walk their dogs!

-Amherst Police have been notified as it is becoming a more dangerous situation. They will be monitoring intersections for transgressors!

Show courtesy and Safety to your fellow residents, PLEASE!!!!
